I am pretty late with my April Favourites but this month I have discovered some new favourites as well as staying loyal to my tried and true products!
To start this blog post off I will talk to you guys about my makeup fave! It is no secret to anyone that knows me that the Tartelette in Bloom palette is my absolute holy grail product. I have been using this palette for about 8 months and I am still as obsessed with it as I was the first day I got my hands on it. I bought this from the Tarte website and excluding shipping this retailed for £36. I create so many gorgeous eye looks with this palette, it has a mix of matte and shimmer eye shadows, which I will create a post about so stick around for that! (Disclaimer: The photo to the left is taken from the Tarte website)
I started 2017 in hope to read more novels, rather than scrolling on my phone in my spare time. So I have stuck to that resolution and whether I am travelling on the train for work or at sat at home, I will get absorbed in a story. During April the book I have been loving is ‘Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children’, this is by Ransom Riggs. This book was given to me as a Christmas present and is typically a genre I don’t opt for in book stores. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I started reading this, as it sent my imagination crazy! Without giving away any spoilers, this story is about a boy named Jacob, that goes on a hunt for an orphanage after listening to stories told by his Grandad. Jacob soon finds out that the stories told wasn’t a load of nonsense and that the orphanage is a lot more peculiar than he thinks.
Zoella herself is one of my April Favourites, but I want to specifically talk about her sweet inspirations range. Lush bath bombs are typically an essential for when I run a bath, but in April I have tried to experiment with different products and support youtubers that provide me with endless content. The Le Fizz fragranced bath fizzers is amazing! Even though this product doesn’t fizz as much as the bath bombs from Lush do, this is still just as pampering. On the back of the packaging it is advised to drop four pieces into running water to start a macaron scented fizzy bath! I bought this product from Superdrug for £5.50, which I think is great value for money.
Last but not least is my Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Shimmer Powder in the shade ‘Luminous’. This is a perfect highlighter to layer over a champagne pressed highlighting powder to add a shimmer! This retails for £24.
