The Liebster Award!

Hello,

This is my first award post and I am so grateful as I love reading posts like this let alone to be nominated myself! It’s a lovely way to discover new blogs as well as growing in the blogging community.

The gorgeous Maya from my thoughts have nominated me, so thank you so much! If you haven’t checked her blog out you must, her blog is amazing and one of my faves.

Here are my answers to your questions:

1.Where do you see your blog in 5 years?

I would love for blogging to part of my working life, working with certain brands with advertisements would be amazing. I don’t want to put a number on the ideal amount of followers I’d like but if i was between 1-2 thousand I would be so proud and happy.

2.  What was the most challenging post you have done so far?

By far the most difficult post I have published is the Recovering from an eating disorder post. I never upload something I am not 100% happy with, but this post took me a very long time when finding the right words. Is it my best post? Probably not. But it is one I am so grateful I uploaded. I have had bloggers message me thanking me for the upload and since I am helping at least one person, it makes this all worthwhile. I talk a lot about mental health on my blog, yet when it comes to talking about my eating disorder I seem to still have my protective wall up. Sorry I rambled a bit haha!

3. What is your favourite movie?

Eat Pray Love is such an amazing film, the book is definitely better so I recommend reading the book first. Julia Roberts stars in this romance and it gives me all the feels. But be prepared to have the urge to go travelling as soon as you finish watching! Without giving any spoilers away it is about a woman going through a divorce and decides to go travelling to Italy, India and Bali in order to find her true self and discover self love.

4. How do you find your ideas for posts?

Other bloggers inspire me a lot, sometimes I read a post and think I could recreate this post but by putting my twist on it. All of my favourite bloggers will be nominated below so make sure to check them out!

5. What is your favourite post you have written?

Would it be cheating to mention two posts haha? I have two faves but for all different reasons. The first one is the June Beauty Holy Grail’s & Hell No’s  because you can really see the improvement in my photos when comparing it to my photos in my first or second post! Also makeup is a passion of mine so what better thing to ramble on about?! Secondly, this post means a lot to me as it is all about me and Cam’s Trip to Wales, which will always stay close to my heart as it was our first holiday together!

6. What is a pet peeve of yours?

Spitting is one thing that disgusts me. I hate to be stereotypical but it always tends to be men who spits. I just find it so gross and is instantly a turn off.

7. What is your favourite quote and by whom?

‘Celebrate every tiny victory’ I am not 100% sure who wrote this quote but I absolutely love it. I want it tattoo’d on me one day, it just really helps me recognise the good things I achieve in my day even if they do seem so small and irrelevant.

8. What are the characteristics of a good blog post?

For me photos play a big part in a good and successful post. Even though I love reading, photos always grab my attention first. I also love when bloggers write quite informally, it gives me the impression that a friend is talking to you compared to reading a super structured piece of writing.

9. What have you learned from blogging?

That blogging is not only a great way to express how you feel in a creative way but you can also create amazing friends. (It is also way more difficult than it looks)

10. When not blogging, what do you do for fun?

I am a florist so flower arranging is something that I enjoy loads! If you would like a blog post about flowers and how to care for them let me know! As I have mentioned, makeup is one of passions so yeah even if I am having a lazy day at home I will most likely have a full face of makeup on!

11. Two random facts about you.

My favourite drink is an Iced Latte and my favourite city is Bath.
