Bulgaria Blues | PART ONE

This weeks post is definitely one of my favourite posts I have written in a long time – and as you can tell by the title, it is a follow me around! As you all know me and Cam recently travelled to Bulgaria for our first holiday abroad together so it only seems right to share it with you guys! The other week I uploaded an OOTD post, shot whilst we were away so that will be linked here – so check it out if you haven’t already and show it some love. Whilst we were there I shot some go pro footage so hopefully once that is edited I shall upload that too!

However, this is definitely going to be a long one so I am splitting it up! Days 1-3 will be on today’s post and I am going to be that super annoying blogger and make you wait until next Friday for days 4-7 (they are defo the best days). So make sure you are following!

This was my favourite day but also the most exhausting day. We started our day at 2am and made our way to the airport greeted by the chaos of security and a very strong coffee. If you read my anxious traveller post a few weeks back you will know I am not the best at coping with long flights so a 3 and a half hour flight was challenging – but thank heavens, all went well, after a few drinks.

Our hotel was by far the most gorgeous and luxurious hotel I have ever stayed in and was called the Royal Barcelo Beach located in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria. So our first day involved a lot of drinking and unpacking!

Even though this is day two, it definitely felt like our first proper day as travelling really does take it out of you! In the morning weather was a bit hit and miss. One moment I was in my bikini sunbathing and next I am running inside to dodge the rain and thunder! But thankfully it didn’t last too long so we managed to build up our tan slightly and then we ventured around town. And of course I found the prettiest pink building, so this is where Cams job of a personal photographer came into play (thank you babe).

When I arrived on holiday I had the vision of applying loads of makeup and making my hair non-frizzy. But if you read next weeks post you will see that it was virtually impossible to try and style my hair in 30 degree heat and my foundation would rather run off my face than stay on. So to everyone who gets glammed up every day in hot weather I salute you.

Okay so some might say this is cringey but it is by far the cutest thing we have ever done. On our last anniversary I bought Cam an engraved padlock and using it on our first holiday seemed the perfect place! We wandered up and down the pier to find the best place, then locked it and tossed both keys in the ocean! For those who are curious or looking for gift ideas for their other half – check out notonthehighstreet.com, they have some fab pressies that can be personalised!

I hope you all enjoyed this post and are looking forward to next weeks post where I will be sharing days four – seven! As I am writing this, I am having serious holiday blues and am desperate to book up another week away!

Until next time,
