A Coffee Fuelled Morning

Today’s post is such an exciting one. If you follow me on Instagram you will know that I am working on a lot of collabs at the moment and today is the first. I am kicking it off with a post with the lovely Sophie from Hopeless Wonderer – she blogs all things music and adventure related! She recently uploaded a travel post with loads of cute pictures of her dog so make sure you read that one!!

So I am doing potentially the most cliche post a blogger could ever write – a morning routine and Sophie will be sharing her evening routine, so make sure you are following her and show her some love! However, expect this to be a very realistic post – I am defo not one of them bloggers who strolls out of bed with perfect hair and feeling fresh and happy. I need copious amounts of coffee and plenty of makeup!

9:00 –  Wake Up

IMG_6740.JPG

On my day off I typically aim to wake up around 9am, or at least I like to. The snooze button seems to be my best friend recently. Once I am up coffee is a must, I was gifted the prettiest cafetiere from my Mum for my birthday and I am hooked! I forgot how good ground coffee is compared to instant.

With a very strong coffee in hand, I prop my laptop up and watch everything in my sub box – youtubers I have been loving recently are: brummymummyof2, Sprinkle of Glitter, Gabriella Lindley and Loey Lane. My makeup routine is so god damn long I think I would go a little crazy without some form of background noise and company haha!

9:15 – Getting Ready

Next is my fav part of my morning routine. Makeup, I absolutely love doing my makeup every day, however doing my hair is a whole different story. I have always found styling my hair so boring and time consuming – and now we are experiencing a heat wave, I am hating it even more. For a more in depth get ready with me, read this post! But the palette I am using today my trusty Urban Decay Naked Palette and on my lips I am wearing a gorg New Look lip in the shade ‘Latte’.

10:30 – Running Errands

Typically I spend about 1 hour and 15 minutes on getting ready, it used to take me 2 hours so be proud. Once I have finished getting dressed and putting on my jewellery, I make sure to always make my bed and light a candle. I feel like it makes the room feel so much cleaner and fresh. A scent I have been loving recently is Raspberry Sorbet by Yankee Candle.

10:45 – Desk Time

I live quite a busy life, so as soon as I have a day off there are tonnes of things to catch up on, especially on my laptop. I am sure we can all agree on the fact that blogging full time would be an absolute dream but for now my days off are dedicated blogging time. So first things first, checking my diary and writing a to do list is a must!

Now I want to say about how I spend an hour successfully ticking things off my to do list when in reality I am most likely procrastinating, scrolling endlessly on Instagram. (Shameless self promo: Insta link is at the bottom of this post!)

12:00 – Lunch Time

So my morning routine ends here! Considering I never eat breakfast, I usually prep up some lunch or eat at 12 depending on how hungry/hangover I am haha!

I hope you all enjoyed, if you are interested in an afternoon/evening routine be sure to let me know in the comments below and if you haven’t already click the link below to read Sophie’s post!!

It was from TK Maxx! Honestly no, I think because I’m such a big coffee drinker it doesn’t really affect me but I’m sure that if you don’t usually drink much caffeine it probably would! Thank you for commenting gorgeous! Xx
