The Dress Of Dreams

It seems like forever since I uploaded a haul and recently I done a bit of retail therapy and bought the literal dress of dreams that I must show you. I know I am yet again so late to the Autumn look-book bandwagon but better late than never right? I am living for the warm toned makeup looks, scarfs, boots and jumpers! (Admittedly and annoyingly it was a very hot day when I shot these photos so it isn’t as Autumnal as I wished haha, oh well!!)

NEW LOOK – PINAFORE DRESS (aka. potentially the cutest fucking dress ever?)

I am starting this lookbook with the most adorable dress ever and it just screams Autumn!! I have paired it with a simple vest top from Primark but I feel like a turtleneck would look so much cuter and better when it’s colder. If you read my Embracing Being Average post you will know I have been having some difficulty buying clothes that actually fit right and I am so happy that New Looks sizes haven’t changed. I am typically a 6-8 and I bought the size 8 and it fits perfectly! I feel like you could easily dress this outfit up by throwing on some heels, fake lashes and accessories but be aware that the material is a little scratchy.

DOROTHY PERKINS – ANKLE BOOTS

It is very rare to see me ditch my Old Skool Vans but I have finally bought a gorgeous pair of ankle boots. I have so many heeled boots but they aren’t practical for long days at work so a flat pair was well needed! These are so comfy but I had to size down in them so if you are buying any boots from DP then defo try them on. Gold accents make every single accessory more pretty so I was instantly drawn to these boots and on the back there is a faux croc print which is so cool and makes the boots so much more interesting. These boots are currently in the sale so now’s the time to buy them (I am low key so annoyed they’re discounted considering I paid full price haha).

MISS SELFRIDGE – CHECKED BLAZER 

So I saved the best until last, but unfortunately I didn’t wear it when I was shooting these photos as it was way too hot for a jacket! Wearing this gives me the illusion I actually have my shit together and I am a successful businesswoman when really I am extremely sleep deprived and winging everything as I go along haha! I mainly bought this blazer for work because let’s face facts turning up to work in my denim jacket every day isn’t exactly the most professional jacket choice ever. I looked in so many shops for this style blazer and all of them looked so boxy and shapeless on me as I am quite petite so I was over the moon this one actually fitted perfectly and having 3/4 length sleeves is surprisingly so much more flattering than full length.
