Slut Up or Shut Up

I’m so excited about today’s post – I feel like I start all of my blog posts off with that but I genuinely am so excited. If you read last weeks post you will know that I am collabing with Mia from miasouthertonx and we’re doing a follow me around! If you regularly read my blog you will notice there’s a bit of a theme going on with the constant follow me around posts, but I have been loving reading and writing them so I hope you all enjoy! This is the first collab me and Mia have done and it defo won’t be the last, she is such a lovely girl and a little fashion icon. My fav posts are her favourites and look-books – all of her links will be at the bottom of this post so defo go check her out!

If you follow me on Instagram you would’ve most likely seen from my stories that last weekend me and Phoebe went out partying to celebrate Halloween and it was my very first slutty Halloween and I bloody loved it!!  So for today’s post, I will be talking all about my drunken Halloween antics and over on Mia’s blog she will be taking you out on a slightly less intoxicated day out in London!

Me and Phoebe started our day as we always do, in the Good Day Cafe and I ordered the nicest hot chocolate ever and had lunch and a huge catch-up. For those who don’t already know, we used to work together so it feels so weird not seeing Phoebe every day so we always have so much gossiping to do. Our main reason for being in town was to do a bit of Halloween shopping and even though we had plans of buying some spooky Halloween inspired bevs, typical me ended up surprise surprise buying Budweiser, when will I ever be cool?

The fake blood makes it spooky right? It’s safe to say I freaking loved dressing up and twinning with Phoebe. I’ve always been so hesitant to dress up for Halloween because its like am I cool enough to pull off a scary look or would I get judged for being slutty? But then I thought who the fuck cares. I think it is so ridiculous that its 2018 and we are all still so terrified about the judgment of others. If you want to dress as a scary witch, a slutty cat or not dress up at all then that’s totally okay. If someone’s scary it doesn’t make them a prude, nor if someone’s slutty does it mean they’re out looking for sex. You do you.

With a few drinks on board, we then walked hand in hand to the club and we felt so sassy and empowering haha! We went to Komedia for a Motown Halloween party and the venue was amazing. I absolutely hate underground clubs, it sends my anxiety through the roof so I was so so relieved that the club was a huge open space. However, as I said the theme was Motown. At first we kind of looked at each other like what the fuck, how on earth do we dance to this?! But after a couple double vodka and lemonades, I was up there dancing like there’s no tomorrow. I can always rely on Phoebe for a fab night- She recently uploaded a storytime about our drunken antics, which you must read!!

I know this technically isn’t part of the Halloween follow me around, but this is a pretty big deal for me. I know you’re all probably SO fed up with hearing about the ongoing battle of me learning to drive but you’ll be pleased (and relieved) to know that I have finally passed with only 3 minors. It’s safe to say I am so so happy and I have finally tackled my driving anxiety.

I hope you all enjoyed this post,  I know I have been doing a lot of these recently but I feel like I have finally got my blogging mojo back! If you haven’t already, be sure to check out Mia’s post – her photo’s are always on point and I know you will love her as much as I do!

Until next time,

Personally your outfits aren’t slutty, you look great and the fake blood is so cool! What did you use to make it?

Congrats on passing your driving test! Do you have a theory test you have to pass first and then a practical like New Zealand or is it different in England? xx

Thank you so much gorgeous!!! We just bought a tube of fake blood and make little drips down our neck but it got a little stuck in our hair by the end of the night- how gross haha! Thank you I’m so relieved I passed!! Yeah we have to pass our theory first too! Xx

It had the intended effect to start at least haha! Driving makes a lot of people nervous (me included) and don’t feel like you have to rush to do it because other people tell you to. As much as it’s good for being independent and a useful skill to have don’t put yourself through stress and worry x

I absolutely love both your costumes and you both look incredible! I think that you both look good but also followed the theme of being a bit scary/gory, which is what Halloween is all about – you want to still look good without forgetting what Halloween is all about, especially if you are going out in public. Also, congratulations on passing your driving test!!! I failed first time and passed by the skin of my teeth second time so I know what it is like to be underconfident driving. My best advice is to drive as much as possible now, outside of rush hour if possible, to build up your confidence. I always took my Dad with me so he could give me pointers. In terms of Insurance, it may be worth considering getting a black box to bring the first year cost down as it is quite expensive for first time drivers (I shudder thinking about it). I had a black box first year and paid about £700 in the end for the year and then got rid of my black box this year. xx

Thank you so much angel, this is the loveliest comment ever!! Driving can be so so scary but luckily I am driving around on my own at the moment and feel much more confident than I did! I bought insurance with a black box and it was £1500!!! I can’t believe how expensive it is! Thank you for the fab advice angel! Xxxx

Mine was really expensive at the start with a black box but provided you are a good driver (just try to limit any sharp breaking) then you should either get a refund/money off your next year hopefully. xx

I don’t think your outfits were slutty at all BUT I love your attitude anyways because who gives two shits if you’re showing cleavage or a bit of leg… if you’re having fun and you feel good, go for it! xx
