Hello loves, this is a bit of a last minute post and the idea and photos are all thanks to Phoebe. My next few weeks are very busy with my 21st quickly approaching so I apologise in advance if the blog takes a backseat. Now, rambly intro over, let’s get into today’s post. A little warning, this will be a very photo heavy post!
Last Saturday was spent brunching, shopping and drinking in Bath with Phoebe, which obviously means there will be mini photoshoots occurring all day long. We were blessed with a bit of sunshine (for once), which meant the legs were out and it was officially iced tea season.
We started our day in Bills, a gorgeous restaurant for brunch and even though the service was a bit questionable, the food was delicious. Me being a creature of habit, I ordered the avocado and bacon on sourdough toast, with a peach and mint iced tea! After a much-needed gossip and catch up we ventured out into Bath city centre and hit the shops. I was in desperate need of Fathers Day and my Grandad’s birthday presents so yes it is safe to say I spent a disgusting amount of money on every single Dad and Grandad related product (aka. tat).
Then it was photoshoot time yay! As we were shopping all day I wanted to wear something casual so I chose my River Island top (similar here), with my trusty Primark denim skirt (similar here) and Primark shoes. I can’t believe how amazing the Primark skirt is, it feels such good quality and is tight around the waist, I hate it when you buy a skirt that is big enough to go over your bum but then is super gappy around your waist. Luckily this skirt is stretchy denim so it fits wonderfully! Of course, I had to be a typical tourist and get photos by the Circus and Cresent.
A few hours later we glammed ourselves up to head into town and soak up more of the sunshine. Our evening was spent sipping Prosecco on the rooftop bar in Hall & Woodhouse and even though this is a restaurant/bar I have been to before, it was my first time on the rooftop and it was s.t.u.n.n.i.n.g! There weren’t tonnes of spaces to sit so I definitely recommend arriving early to grab a good table, but even though the space was limited it didn’t disappoint. The outdoor bar reminded me of a beach hut and it was completed with festoon lights.
Me and Phoebe being Me and Phoebe decided to get a little drunk in the sun on an empty stomach on Prosecco very early on, I think we were hammered at 8pm haha! Did we settle for one bottle of Prosecco to share, like normal civilised women? No, no no. We had one each hahaha (this is one of the many reasons I love Phoebe). It was such a fun relaxing night, honestly one of my favourites.
My outfit for the evening was an off the shoulder dress from Newlook (similar here), but unfortunately, I don’t think they sell it in anymore and my trusty Primark heels (similar here). They are the BEST things to dance in and have joined me on many many nights out and I haven’t broken my ankle yet.
As I am writing this I am packing my bags for a long weekend away with my Dad for early birthday celebrations and we are off to Alton Towers! I am so excited and I will be sure to take tonnes of photos so keep an eye out on my Instagram for that. I hope you all enjoyed this post, thank you so much for reading and for sticking with me when my posts have been a bit negative recently. Things are really starting to look up for me and I feel in a much better place with my mental health, so thank you for staying.
Until next time,
Like my posts? Buy me a coffee!
