Reflecting on 2019

I know what you are thinking, ‘Chloe it’s the middle of February, why the hell are you still talking about last year?’ Well this year I haven’t been very productive with the New Year’s blog posts so we are all going to have to sit here and pretend that we are entering January and not February. Last year I uploaded a Reflecting on 2018 post and you all seemed to love it as much as I loved writing it, so it only seems right to do one for 2019!

Got promoted to CEO PA – January

I don’t think I will ever start my year off as well as I did in 2019. In January I was promoted from Social Media Administrator to the CEO’s Personal Assistant and it was such a proud moment in my career and definitely opened up new opportunities.

Girls vacay to Greece – May

img_4610-1

Every year me and Chan go on city breaks, but last year we spent a week in Greece and if you have been stuck around for a long time then you will know that the holiday was eventful, to say the least. It was full of so many ouzo shots, funny memories and trips to the hospital haha! Greece is such a beautiful country and I want to go back and explore it more.

Nights out in Spring – May

IMG_6335

Spring was probably my happiest season, the sun was shining, me and Harry started dating and me and Phoebe spent so many evenings on rooftop bars with bottles of Prosecco. Even though I always say the colder months are my favourite, my mental health seems to be at its best during spring and summer. Does anyone else feel the same?

Celebrated my 21st – June

In 2019 I think I dragged my birthday out for as long as possible and absolutely have no shame in it. I am so blessed to be surrounded by so many lovely people and they certainly spoilt me! My birthday night out was one to remember and it was all thanks to Phoebe – she decorated her flat so beautifully with birthday bunting and we had so much Prosecco and partied a little too hard, but it was one of my fav nights out of 2019. My lovely mum also treated me to the cutest weekend away in a little village in the Cotswolds and it was so nice to spend quality time with each other as well as do a bit of exploring!

Alton Towers with my Dad – June

img_7296

Growing up me and my dad had a tradition of going to Alton Towers every year, but as I grew up life got too busy and that tradition ended. However, last year my dad treated me with a trip to Alton Towers for my birthday and it was so much fun and felt like I was a kid again!

Family trip to Devon – July

You cannot beat a week away in the sunshine in a little British seaside town. In July me, my dad and grandparents went on our travels to Devon and spent the week nipping in and out of independent shops, eating way too many fish and chips and going on lots of boat trips to neighbouring towns. It was so nice to go away and have a detox from digital life and focus on my family and making memories.

Moved in with Harry – September

acs_0008

September was such a life-changing month as me and Harry moved in together and I flew from the family nest. Moving out has taught me so much on how to be independent, how to cook and how to budget and it has been so nice to learn all of that with my best friend by my side. This photo was taken on a night out we had to celebrate my besties partners birthday and it was a very fun night as well as a chance for me to show off my better half.

Pumpkin picking – October

acs_0045

In October I really stepped up my insta game and took Chan on lots of autumnal days out and we got some amazing content. A day out to remember was to our local farm which had a pick-your-own pumpkin patch which of course was ever bloggers dream. So as Chan was squatting down in a muddy field I awkwardly posed for thousands of photos and it was so worth it. Afterwards we headed into the farm and saw so many cute animals and if you know me in real life then you can only imagine how excited I got to see the sheep and goats haha.

Bournemouth at Christmas Time – December

acs_0178

Every year me and Chan finish the year off with a festive city break and in 2019 we ventured down to Bournemouth and it was probably one of my favourite destinations we have been to in the UK together. The Christmas market was just so magical and there is something there for everyone and the nightlife is so much fun! I definitely will be booking a trip back there in the Summer to take full advantage of the sandy beach.

If you managed to get to the end of this post then I applaud you as I know it was a bit of a long one! 2019 was the year I actually felt like a successful adult and so many happy memories were made and really hope 2020 is just as amazing. Thank you to everyone who supported my little blog last year, it really does mean the world.

Until next time,

It sounds like 2019 was an incredible year for you and honestly I am not sure how 2020 is going to top it! It sounds like you travelled to some incredible places (I am especially jealous of your Greece visit, although maybe not the hospital visit). Where are you planning on visiting this year? xx
