My Week In Numbers #6

Happy Thursday! Can you believe it is almost Christmas? This month, well this year in fact has just flown by and it won’t be long until we are waving goodbye to the weirdest year we’ve had and welcoming 2021. For today’s post I thought I would upload one of my all time favourite posts to read and write, my week in numbers – so go grab a coffee and let’s have a catch up.

//1…\\ Friendmas day planned. Every year me and Chan have a tradition where we host our own Christmas Day together to exchange gifts, cook a roast and watch all of the festive movies. Considering we couldn’t go away for our annual Christmas holiday this year, we are well overdue a day full of festivities and excitement. As I am typing this it is only 2 days until our Friendmas Day and I cannot wait!

//2…\\ Apartment viewings. Me and Harry have had an ongoing issue with our flat this year as it is leaking and the contractors can’t seem to find the route cause of the problem and considering our baby is due so soon we are getting slightly worried about when (or if) these works will actually get fixed. Luckily we have dehumidifiers installed in every room which is definitely tackling the damp and preventing mould, but we are starting to get very fed up. So this week we attended 2 apartment viewings, one of them we unfortunately did not get and the other one was just a little too small. BUT I am trying not to feel too down about it as what will be will be and the right home is out there for us.

//35…\\ Minutes spent in the salon. I have had quite a few low self esteem days recently and I think that is just because I am now over 8 months pregnant where hardly anything fits me, shaving my legs is a battle and fatigue and sickness is stopping me from making a real effort with anything. So I booked myself in for a shellac toe nail appointment and it was definitely a 35 minutes well spent. This sounds ridiculous but I feel 10 times better about myself for finally having my toes painted again, it is crazy how a bit of polish can help boost your confidence.

//20…\\ Days until our little ones due date. I absolutely cannot believe how fast this pregnancy has gone and everyone I speak to also cannot believe how little time is left until she is here. I am going through the nesting phase where all I want to do is clean, upcycle and renovate everything in sight! Although I am nervous for being a first time mum, I am just so so excited for her to be here.

//4…\\ Hours spent doing embroidery. Since the 10th December I have been off from work on holiday leave and then maternity leave so I have had a lot of time spent at home alone. To try and combat the boredom and prevent me wasting every day in front of the TV, I ordered a 3 pack embroidery kit and it has been so therapeutic to do. I am not typically one for arts and crafts but have actually enjoyed taking the time out to do something artsy than waste time scrolling on Instagram or Tik Tok.

Thank you for reading, I hope you all enjoyed and are having a lovely week. Let me know in the comments below how you have spent your week! If you liked this style of post and would like to read the other 5 Week In Numbers posts, they will be linked below.

Hope you still managed to do your Friendmas day! Sounds like you may have just managed to sneak it in before the national lockdown!
I feel exactly the same way about pampering myself when I am feeling a bit down. I managed to get my hair done the day before we went into lock-down and I am feeling a lot better about the days ahead with my new hair colour and cut.
So excited for the little one to make an appearance!
I have also picked up embroidery this year, however, after finishing my first piece, I have not touched the second piece in months now. Maybe it is time to pick it back up… xx

Pamper evenings are the absolute best, its so important to find time to take care of yourself. I’m so glad that you managed to fit in a hair appointment, we are in Tier 2 so luckily our salons are still open. Embroidery is so so therapeutic and it’s so nice to feel like you have achieved something as opposed to being on your phone wasting time. Thank you for reading and commenting, I hope you have a lovely Christmas xx

    HEY 🥰

I’m so sorry if I sound crazy haha but I LOVE ADORE BABIES and am super happy and excited for you!!! I wish you all the best and hope everything goes smoothly and your family are safe 💜 (I’m assuming the baby is here now?! How are you all? ) Moving homes is such a tough moment in life – trying to find the dream house that fits your criteria and budget 😭 Can relate since my family are currently hoping to move too! And girrrrrl, please don’t feel any negative vibes about your appearance or let pregnancy a
lower your confidence!! It’s going to be such a challenging experience BUT YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL THROUGHOUT IT ALL. DO ALL THE PAMPERING YOU NEED!!

    all the best
