Celebrating 4 Years of Blogging

So the other day a WordPress notification popped up on my phone to congratulate me on achieving 4 years of blogging, 4 years!! I just can’t believe where the time has gone. So much has changed since the beginning of my blogging journey and I am so grateful that I documented everything (maybe a bit too much at one point). I’m writing todays post as a big thank you to everyone who has supported me, some from the very early days too. Every comment, like, follow, means the absolute world to me – this tiny corner of the internet really is my happy place.

I look back at blog posts I created 4 years ago and not going to lie, they are laughable. The lack of structure, mix match of pictures and the amount of over sharing is just embarrassing to read but it does makes me happy to look back on, to read about the old memories (some good, some bad) and to see how much has changed – not only in my life but in my writing style. I started this blog when my depression was at its worse, I had just left college with a diploma in a career I didn’t want, with no clue what to do with the rest of my life and now I am typing this post in bed whilst my daughter and partner are sleeping next to me. I wish I could go back to 18 year old Chloe and tell her this is what her life would be like in 4 years time and it really does get better.

This little blog has seen the highs and lows of relationships & friendships, the holidays I have been on, what I’ve got for my birthdays, passing my driving test, moving house, all of my goals and whether I’ve achieved them, new jobs. It’s been incredible how much I’ve posted and I’m so grateful to have shared my life online (this sounds like a goodbye, I promise it’s not haha). I can’t wait to read back my posts in years to come and see what new things have happened!

I don’t upload anywhere near as much as I’d like to, and that’s okay. I have actually noticed quite a few of my favourite bloggers take breaks off the blogosphere and that all started at the beginning of the pandemic. I think it’s important that we all take the time we need to heal from the crazy year we’ve had and I like to think once this is all over we will all go back to the consistent weekly uploads.

If you’re reading this then I thank you for the support of my little blog, but I also want to especially thank those that have stuck by me from what seems like the beginning and are my top commenters: Jennie from 50shad3s0fJay, Chanelle Hayley, Chloe from Midnight Wanderer, Hannah from MoreThanAn8to4, Gemma from GemmaaJaynee and Amelia in Hull. You guys are incredible!

I’m going to keep this one short (for once I know) and get back to my little sleeping family next to me. Thank you all for reading and I’ll hopefully not take too long this time to upload next time.

Until next time,

Wow 4 years!! That is incredible! What a wonderful journey it has been, and I agree looking back at old posts is so funny, especially seeing how much has changed and even the writing style etc, but I guess it makes us who we are today ☺️ Xxxx

Hi, Chloe! It’s Stephanie from Instagram. I’m so happy to have found your blog and see that we had a mutual blogger friend. Congratulations on 4 years of blogging! I can definitely relate about taking a pause from blogging; I slacked on sharing posts last year and I’m slowly figuring out a way to incorporate it back into my routine. It’s so fun rereading old blog posts and seeing our growth and maturity as a blogger.

I hope you have a lovely day, and I look forward to reading what you have to share in the future! ♥
